Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Mulliner Bentley's custom coachbuilding unit, has designed a distinctive keycase to mark the 100th anniversary of Bentley. Made from Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it comes with a flying 'B' paperweight, a set of keys, and a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre imagery.

Aesthetics

Function
The Bentley Mulsanne Key features two buttons that open the trunk, and another that turns on the vehicle. The key also includes a switch to turn on the parking brake. Each key takes about two days to make. It is hand cut to shape, sewn sealed and polished to create an excellent finish. It is strong compact and fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar with the Volkswagen Phaeton's big car key, however it feels heavier and more luxurious.

Personalisation
Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to create their own vehicle. The guests sit at a collection of images referred to as "mood stations" and choose a selection of photos ranging from scenic landscapes to sporting events that are inspiring to them to design their own. After each selection is made, a pattern emerges and reveals the models and colors of the custom Bentley.
The guests receive the keys in a case designed by hand that houses the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can also be outfitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps, which illuminate the door-opening path with the owner's name and/or emblem as they are approaching the vehicle.
